Business Factory Food (BFFood), Galicia’s leading program for the incubation, acceleration and consolidation of innovative projects in the agri-food sector, is launching its 7th Edition with a special InfoDay to be held on April 8th at the Fontán Building, located in the City of Culture of Galicia. This event, designed as a meeting point for entrepreneurs, startups, industry leaders, knowledge agents and institutions, will provide a comprehensive overview of the new call, the available programs and the resources offered to those who wish to be part of this transformative initiative.
The event will begin at 11:00 AM with opening remarks by key institutional representatives such as Juanjo de la Cerda, CEO of the Galician Food Cluster (Clusaga), and Covadonga Toca, Director of IGAPE, who will highlight the importance of continuing to promote innovation in a sector that is strategic for the Galician economy. Afterwards, Noelia Dosil, head of BFFood, will present all the details of this new edition, with a deep dive into the incubation, acceleration and consolidation programs, the services and support available to selected projects, and the direct involvement of leading industry players at every stage of the process.
The program will continue with a keynote by Nora Alonso, General Partner at Swanlaab Venture Factory, who will offer a reflection on the major challenges facing the food sector and how technological innovation can deliver real and sustainable solutions. Her strategic insight will provide a broad perspective on the opportunities available to those committed to agrifoodtech entrepreneurship. One of the highlights of the day will be two roundtable discussions, offering a closer look at both the industry’s perspective and the hands-on experience of startups that have already taken part in BFFood.
In the first session, representatives of leading companies will explore current challenges in the food sector and the role of initiatives like BFFood in channeling entrepreneurial talent toward solving real-world problems. In the second, several startups will share their journey through the accelerator, their evolution from concept to market, and the impact of participating in the program in terms of growth, validation, and integration into the ecosystem.
The event will conclude with a networking session, giving all attendees the opportunity to exchange ideas, build connections, and hold one-on-one meetings with the BFFood team. This final space offers a unique chance to establish strategic contacts in a collaborative environment that encourages openness and innovation.
Business Factory Food, promoted by the Xunta de Galicia through GAIN (Galician Innovation Agency) and IGAPE, and coordinated by Clusaga, has consolidated itself as an effective tool for transforming the food sector through innovation. The program fosters the creation and consolidation of projects that offer technological, sustainable, and scalable solutions.
