The projects have involved a direct investment of more than €400,000 and the generation of 29 new jobs related to digital transformation and industry 4.0 in the food sector.
Juan Manuel Cividanes, Director General of the Galician Institute for Economic Promotion (Igape), has announced the selected initiatives after the pitch day. An event in which representatives of the 18 pre-selected proposals defended their projects before the BFFood Executive Committee, which was made up of representatives from Igape, the Galician Innovation Agency (GAIN), the Closed-End Investment Entities Management Company (XesGalicia), the Galician Food Cluster (Clusaga), and the eight leading companies.
The six selected projects provide innovative solutions to address the challenges posed by companies in the sector in the areas of digitalization, automation, commercialization, traceability, and logistics.
From now on, these six projects will access a specialized environment for their acceleration with mentors, training, coaching, technical services, infrastructure, and resources specifically designed for their area of development, as well as financial support through GAIN, XesGalicia, and Igape.
The six selected projects are AlphaCloud, CERTO. Full Traceable Label, Essence Food, Monkey Market, Muutech monitoring solutions, and oSIGris.
The call for the second edition of BFFood will start in October with the aim of providing comprehensive and specialized support for 12 months to already established companies with a product or service aligned with one of the challenges posed by companies in the food sector and with their first sales already made.
