BUSINESS FACTORY FOOD
It is the accelerator of the food sector of Galicia
Initiative promoted by Xunta de Galicia through the Galician Institute for Economic Promotion (Igape) and the Management Company for Closed-End Investment Entities (XesGalicia). BFFood is coordinated by the Galician Food Cluster (Clusaga) and involves leading companies from the sector, as well as other collaborating entities.
The objective of BFFood is the incubation, acceleration, and consolidation of projects specialized in the food sector, transforming them into innovative, viable, and scalable companies capable of attracting and retaining talent. Thus, it contributes to strengthening the sector's positioning and increasing its international visibility.
BFFood focuses on solving challenges raised by sector companies, for which it launches public calls aiming to seek, identify, and select projects aligned with solving these challenges, supporting them to reach the market with greater guarantees of success.
What support phases does BFFood offer?
BFFood comprises three phases of support (incubation, acceleration, and consolidation), aimed at entrepreneurial initiatives aligned with challenges in the food sector. The support services for each phase are designed to assist the complete entrepreneurship project cycle, from the initial idea during incubation and subsequent acceleration, to strengthening sales during the consolidation phase.

The BFFood accelerator offers all the necessary services and infrastructures to facilitate the success of the participating projects, whether they are in early development phases, or if they have already obtained a pilot or a first sale.

Training program
Projects participating in the BFFood incubation phase will have access to a specialized training program in entrepreneurship offered by the three Galician universities. In addition, throughout the three support phases, the projects will receive training and workshops on topics relevant to the success of their entrepreneurial projects.

Strategic advisory program
Projects that advance to the incubation and acceleration phases will receive personalized strategic advisory services, with individualized sessions tailored to their level of maturity. This process will include co-creative sessions between the advisory team and the project team, establishing an initial work plan that is flexible and expandable according to the project's needs.
In the incubation phase, the focus will be on technological monitoring, training the team in benchmarking, identifying trends, analyzing competitors and potential markets, and providing assistance in defining the business model and scalability plan.
In the acceleration phase, projects will receive intensive support focused on defining strategic needs, opportunities, and barriers to developing the business model and its market positioning. Specialized advice will be provided on access to financing and investment, intellectual property, marketing and scalability strategies, and more.
