Introducing our second edition at the UDC Center for Advanced Scientific Research
On Thursday, October 31, the University of A Coruña hosted the presentation event for the second edition of Business Factory Food. During the event, J. Andrés Faíña, Jean Monnet Professor of European Industrial Economics, Manuel Bustabad, technological transfer and R&D at CITIC, and Antonio García Lorenzo, E.U. Professor of Fundamentals of Economic Analysis and Jean Monnet Professor, discussed the importance of this vertical accelerator in improving the maturity of innovation projects (innovation readiness) and the final performance of products or services that will be made available to end users or consumers.
Iago Sanmartín, promoter of Monkey Markey, Xavier Barra, founder of CERTO, and Fernando Fernández, CTO of Muutech, explained their experience as selected projects in the first edition of the BFFood acceleration program.


Meanwhile, Juan Carlos Galán, business development manager at the Technological Institute of Galicia (ITG), a member of the accelerator’s technical committee, addressed the advantages that BFFood offers to entrepreneurs. Rosana Domínguez, Marketing Director at Quescrem, and Antonio Cuevas, Head of Procurement at Calvo, explained their experience in the mentoring process, as leading companies.

Next, Higinio Mougán, manager of AGACA, a member of the accelerator’s technical committee, analyzed the trends in the food sector and the challenges that the projects participating in this second edition of BFFood must address. Finally, Javier A. Osuna, head of the accelerator, and Juan Feijoo, advisor for the competitiveness area at IGAPE, encouraged all entrepreneurs with innovative initiatives in the food sector to register for the accelerator’s second edition.
