Clusaga participates in the demo-day of the IX Program to Support Agri-Food Companies

The Galician Food Cluster (Clusaga) participated in the demo-day of the IX Program to Support Agri-Food Companies organized by the Juana de Vega Foundation, where six entrepreneurial initiatives that participated in it showcased their projects.

Projects presented

The project Siitake do Suído, promoted by Raquel Suárez Ogando, focuses on cultivating Shiitake mushrooms on natural oak and chestnut logs, utilizing discarded forest mass to give it a new use in a sustainable and ecological way. It also includes the sale of logs inoculated with mycelium for home cultivation and an agroforestry tourism program with mushroom cultivation initiation workshops.

RUMI, a project by the company Innogando – which participates in Clusaga’s Business Factory Food (BFFood) – uses a collar to monitor cattle. This solution, in addition to GPS locating the livestock, can detect estrus, diseases, escapes, and other situations of interest, sending alerts to the farmer via a mobile application.

Alejandro Tartaglione presented Zumiño, an agri-food project located in the Baixo Miño region and dedicated to the organic cultivation of apples to obtain cold-pressed functional juices.

The livestock farm Casa Barbeiro, located in the parish of Lagoa (Alfoz) and managed by Juanjo Fraga, presented the project of the same name, whose objective is the production of smoked cheeses following the recipe and tradition of the area.

Traloagro is dedicated to livestock breeding, processing, and commercialization of certified organic meat products. The project, presented by Isabel Gómez, is in a growth phase, seeking multi-channel international commercialization of meat preparations.

Yolanda Cela presented the project La abuela Delfina, whose objective is the artisanal production of pork derivatives, respecting the family recipe inherited from her grandmother, using differentiated raw materials, without chemical additives, and naturally cured with oak wood, thus preserving traditional flavors.

The day concluded with the presentation of the Vía Argentea project, promoted by José Ramón González and dedicated to the production and commercialization of high-quality veal, produced sustainably through grazing, forage, and self-produced cereals.
