BFFood takes part in the largest edition of Startup Olé held to date

The Galician Food Cluster (Clusaga), as the driving force behind the Business Factory Food (BFFood), has the mission of collaborating in the promotion of the accelerator’s activity in order to attract new companies interested in taking part, as well as new investors to support the projects currently underway.

In this way, the BFFood lead at Clusaga, Xosé Ramón Vázquez, attended as a KeyPlayer at the 8th Edition of Startup Olé, which took place in Salamanca from 5 to 7 September.

BFFood took part in the round table “What are the advantages for your startup of joining an accelerator?”, moderated by Óscar Baza, Coordinator of Open Innovation Projects at RTVE. Also taking part were Manuel Navarro, Head of Innovation Programmes at RENFE; Rosa Monteagudo, Manager of BFA; Emilio Martínez, Manager of Entrepreneurship and Open Innovation at Enagás Emprende; and Marcos Ros, Analyst and Project Manager at ACCIONA Energía.

Another of the activities in which the accelerator was involved was the Reverse Pitch, a presentation of BFFood’s characteristics and what it can offer startups.

The largest edition to date

Throughout its history, Startup Olé has brought together more than 40,000 attendees from over 120 countries; with more than 1,500 startups, scale-ups and spin-offs; more than 1,200 speakers; and more than 300 companies and investors with an investment portfolio of more than 100 billion euros.

This 8th Edition was the largest to date, requiring a new conference centre to be made available, in addition to the usual facilities, to accommodate all attendees and events.
